The Emorys’ Adoption

Support an Amazing Journey!

Jun 23, 2016 12:22:28 PM

Many in our industry know Pete Emory for his kind manner and big heart. Not surprisingly, those are traits he shares with his wife Holly.

Parents of three boys successfully raised to teens/young men, the couple found they had more love to give. In 2015 they adopted Zoey, a little girl who knew life only as an orphan in China. In the process of adopting Zoey the parents came to know her companion, a slightly older orphan girl who likes to be called Mary. Given her age and physical disabilities, authorities deemed Mary ‘un-adoptable.’ Pete and Holly disagreed, and even as they integrated Zoe into their family, they set out on a year-plus journey to bring Mary into their loving home.

This August, Pete and Holly will travel back to China to complete what they were told wasn’t possible: the adoption of their second daughter Mary. They could use a little help. The fees associated with two adoptions, along with the costs of extended international travel and modifications to their home and vehicles necessary to accommodate Mary’s disabilities, are significant. The couple has set a modest fund raising goal of $9,400 to partially offset the costs.

Enclosed is the full adoption story as prepared by Holly Emory. Contributions—which may be tax deductible—can be made anonymously or in a person or company name following the link provided. The Emory family thanks you for considering supporting their exceptional journey to forever change a child’s life.
