Epson Focuses on the BYOD Crowd

May 25, 2015 12:22:28 PM
More and more workers are jumping on the “Bring Your Own Device” (BYOD) bandwagon, using their personal mobile smartphones and tablets both at home and in the office. Responding to the trend, Epson has created several mobile print applications that suit varying needs but share a common goal: allowing users to connect and print from their mobile devices to Epson printers.

With Epson iPrint App, Android and iOS device users can access and remotely print files from Box, DropBox, Evernote, Google Drive, and Microsoft OneDrive to an email-enabled Epson all-in-one printer.  Additionally, the intuitive application allows users to monitor printer status and ink levels, preform nozzle checks and print head cleaning, and use Wi-Fi to find and connect to Epson printers on the same network.

Leveraging the built-in Android Print system, Epson Print Enabler connects Android devices with Epson inkjet and laser printers over Wi-Fi.  Unlike Epson iPrint App, users can print photos, email messages, web pages, and documents from Gallery, Photos, Chrome, Gmail, Google Drive, Quickoffice, or other applications that support Android Printing.
